About

The main ambition of GREENCOOP is to foster the agroecology and digital transition of EU and China farm systems to be contextualized and interconnected in a sectorial and territorial frame via the development of Rural Communities Business Models (RCMB) in rural areas following sustainability principles.

Therefore, GREENCOOP aims at moving the boundaries of practice and research knowledge acquisitions to the current state of the art by realistically proposing innovative and sustainable solutions. The solutions will be locally adapted to boost and accelerate the adoption rates of Agroecological Digital Innovations (ADIs) by farmers within the new RCBM.

The ADIs proposed will be demonstrated and tested -alone and in combinations-, evaluated and demonstrated at different spatial and temporal scale -three-year campaigns- scales across Europe, the UK and China through Living Labs (LLs) representing local and regional rural environments realities.

Work packages

GREENCOOP is structured in 7 Work Packages (WPs) forming a holistic framework to achieve the project objectives. Each with a lead partner, the different WPs were designed on the basis of their interconnection so as to allow synergies between them, sharing feedback and implementing joint activities.

• One focuses on ADIs demonstrators (WP2, led by LifeWatchERIC)
• Two revolve around farm and regional assessment and policy support (WP 3, CIHEAM-IAMM; and 4, ZALF)
• Three assume horizontal responsibilities: Living Labs and RIBC-Net; platform development; plus dissemination, communication and exploitation (WP 1, UTH; 5, AUA; and 6, FEUGA)
• The last one is dedicated to project management and coordination (WP7, USC)
